The kitchen is well-equipped and has Jamie Oliver pots and pans. A guest toilet adjoins this area to ensure maximum privacy in the bedrooms. The entrance passageway has a utility cupboard with a washing machine for doing your laundry at no extra cost. The bedroom suites are accessed off this space, with a lovely staircase going up to main suite, and stairs descending to the two bedrooms on the lower floor. The large main bedroom on the top floor has a king size bed with views of both the harbour and the mountain, a generous dressing room area and and an en-suite bathroom. A timber deck leads off the bedroom space, with a hammock in place to enjoy the view. The second and third bedroom are on the lower floor and are inter-leading and connected rooms with an open door between them. The one bedroom has 2 single beds, and the other bedroom has a single bed and a daybed. This space opens out onto a small, shady courtyard space with planters filled with herbs and lavender. The two bedrooms share a bathroom, that comes off the room with the single bed and day bed. There is a built-in cupboard in the bedroom with the twin beds. There is a sleeper couch in the main living space

The neighborhood

Woodstock is one of Cape Town's oldest suburbs and is filled with characterful and delightful Victorian-era buildings with tree-lined streets. During the Apartheid era, it was one of South Africa's only mixed race suburbs and it still retains it diversity and flavour. It is highly sought after as a great place to live for creatives, young professionals, couples with new families, as well as those looking for central yet well priced accommodation. It is also very close to the University of Cape Town and is home to students and young graduates. A host of top quality delis, coffee shops, vintage clothing stores, restaurants, galleries, artisanal food and goods markets abound. See (URL HIDDEN) The WholeBody Clinic is very close by, offering great massages, facials and mani-pedis.

Getting around

The area is well serviced by Uber as well as by the highly efficient and well-priced MyCiti bus service. Many highlights are within 15-20 minutes walking distance and cycling lanes are on the increase.

DON'T FORGET TO BRING

DOCUMENTS:
Don’t forget your passport, traveler’s checks, ATM and/or credit cards, adequate ID, and photocopies of all of the aforementioned in case these documents are lost or stolen. Also check that you have any of the following that might apply to you: a driver’s license; travel insurance forms; ISIC .

EMERGENCY SUPPLIES:
Prepare a personal first aid kit. Bring along a small kit containing first aid materials like Band-Aids, ChapStick, some antibiotic ointment, an ace bandage and a roll of white medical tape. If you require anything other than those items, then you should probably seek medical attention. With the physical activities available during the expedition, you don't want a cut or a bruise slowing you down! If you take medications and your prescriptions are in need of a refill, make sure you remember to have it filled before you leave for the expedition. Some pharmacies may give you a difficult time if you're going to be on vacation when your prescription runs out. They may refuse to fill the refill early. For this situation, you may need to talk to the pharmacy's manager and show him your reservation plans or get your doctor to speak to the pharmacy. This could take a few days for them to get this ironed out, so don't wait until the last minute before taking care of this.
