There is a sleeper couch in the main living space

The neighborhood

Woodstock is one of Cape Town's oldest suburbs and is filled with characterful and delightful Victorian-era buildings with tree-lined streets. During the Apartheid era, it was one of South Africa's only mixed race suburbs and it still retains it diversity and flavour. It is highly sought after as a great place to live for creatives, young professionals, couples with new families, as well as those looking for central yet well priced accommodation. It is also very close to the University of Cape Town and is home to students and young graduates. A host of top quality delis, coffee shops, vintage clothing stores, restaurants, galleries, artisanal food and goods markets abound. See (URL HIDDEN) The WholeBody Clinic is very close by, offering great massages, facials and mani-pedis.

Getting around

The area is well serviced by Uber as well as by the highly efficient and well-priced MyCiti bus service. Many highlights are within 15-20 minutes walking distance and cycling lanes are on the increase.

If you require anything other than those items, then you should probably seek medical attention. With the physical activities available during the expedition, you don't want a cut or a bruise slowing you down! If you take medications and your prescriptions are in need of a refill, make sure you remember to have it filled before you leave for the expedition. Some pharmacies may give you a difficult time if you're going to be on vacation when your prescription runs out. They may refuse to fill the refill early. For this situation, you may need to talk to the pharmacy's manager and show him your reservation plans or get your doctor to speak to the pharmacy. This could take a few days for them to get this ironed out, so don't wait until the last minute before taking care of this.
